Vice President, Human Resources & Chief People Officer

Frances Sinha, IAVI’s first chief people officer, is responsible for driving strategic HR management and global people strategy. In addition to being a thought partner to the senior management team, she guides the HR team to ensure the smooth execution of daily human resources operations and provides advisory services for leadership, coaching, employee relations, compensation, organizational design, and other HR disciplines.

Prior to joining IAVI, Sinha served as the head of human resources for Human Rights Watch and prior to that, she was the chief human resources officer for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Trained as a lawyer, Sinha worked for law firms in the U.S. and the U.K. before transitioning to the UN career. She held other senior positions in the United Nations such as chief training officer and a team leader with Peacekeeping managing the administration of one-third of the peacekeeping missions.

Sinha holds a B.A. from DePaul University and a J.D. from Notre Dame Law School.
