In IAVI’s efforts to develop AIDS vaccines, it has forged collaborative partnerships with governments, civil society organizations and research institutions worldwide to:
- Test candidate vaccines in clinical trials
- Conduct clinical studies critical to the development and large-scale testing of these candidates
- Prepare the ground for such research, and to assure the ethical conduct and long-term viability of our vaccine research and development programs
- Advocate for the development of AIDS vaccines
- Support the formulation and implementation of national and transnational policies that can help accelerate the development and future distribution of effective and affordable AIDS vaccines
