Lisa is a communications professional who joined IAVI in 2007 after a career as an international journalist. A former assistant managing editor of TIME magazine, she has worked as a foreign correspondent in Asia and the Middle East, and as a magazine editor focusing on politics and global affairs. As a commentator on international affairs, she has made numerous TV and radio appearances on such programs as Imus, Oprah and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. The recipient of the Overseas Press Club’s 1995 Award for Best Magazine Reporting from Abroad, she holds a bachelor’s of journalism degree from the University of Texas.
