People employed by IAVI are expected to adhere to the highest ethical standards in the work they do for or on behalf of the organization.
The IAVI Code of Conduct provides a set of guiding principles for ethical behavior and identifies key areas of ethical risk. The Code applies to IAVI employees, officers, directors, consultants and advisory committee members. They all share responsibility for creating a culture of integrity and accountability at IAVI, and enhancing the reputation of the organization.
The Code covers a wide range of practices and procedures, including:
- Managing conflicts of interest
- Business opportunities, outside positions and honorariums
- Confidentiality obligations
- Purchasing practices
- Use of IAVI’s name and property.
The standards set forth in the Code cannot and do not anticipate every issue that may arise, or replace independently thoughtful and ethical behavior. Rather, the Code is devised to create a spirit of ethical conduct by which all are expected to abide.
